Sunan Ibn Majah 1407 (Book 5, Hadith 605) #30759
The Importance of Praying in Baitul-Maqdis

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the importance of praying in Baitul-Maqdis and sending a gift of oil to light its lamps as an alternative for those who cannot travel there.

It was narrated that Maimunah the freed (female) slave of the Prophet said: I said: "O Messenger of Allah, tell us about Baitul- Maqdis". He said: "It is the land of the Resurrection and the Gathering. Go and pray there, for one prayer there is like one thousand prayers elsewhere". I said: "What if I cannot travel and go there?" He said: "Then send a gift of oil to light its lamps, for whoever does that is like one who goes there".

QUICK LESSONS:
Pray at Bailutl - Maqdish and send gifts for lighting its lamps if you cannot travel there yourself .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith highlights the importance of praying in Baitul-Maqdis. It is said that one prayer there is equivalent to one thousand prayers elsewhere. For those who are unable to travel there, they can send a gift of oil to light its lamps as an alternative. This shows how important it is for Muslims to pray at this holy place and how generous we should be when it comes to helping others. It also teaches us that even if we are not able to physically go somewhere or do something ourselves, we can still help out by providing resources or support from afar.
