Versatility in Reciting the Quran

SUMMARY: The hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) recitation of the Quran, which could be done both loudly and softly.

It was narrated that Ghudaif bin Harith said: "I came to 'Aishah and asked: 'Did the Messenger of Allah recite Qur’an loudly or softly?’ She said: 'Sometimes he would recite loud and sometimes softly.’ I said, 'Allahu Akbar! Praise is to Allah Who has made this matter one of broad scope.’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect different ways of reciting The Holy Book . Praise Allah for His Mercy .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks to the versatility of reciting the Quran. It was narrated by Ghudaif bin Harith that he asked 'Aishah if Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite Quran loudly or softly. She replied that sometimes he would recite loud and sometimes softly. This shows us that there is no one way to recite the Quran; it can be done both loudly and softly depending on what suits a person best. We should also take this as an opportunity to praise Allah for His mercy in making this matter one of broad scope - meaning we have many options when it comes to reciting His words!
