The Prophet's Recitation Style

SUMMARY: Anas bin Malik reported that the Prophet ﷺ used to elongate his voice when reciting.

It was narrated that Qatadah said; "I asked Anas bin Malik about the recitation of the Prophet and he said: 'He used to elongate his voice.’"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَأَلْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ النَّبِيِّ، ـ ـ فَقَالَ كَانَ يَمُدُّ صَوْتَهُ مَدًّا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of the recitation style of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It was narrated by Qatadah who asked Anas bin Malik about how the Prophet ﷺ used to recite. Anas bin Malik reported that he would elongate his voice when reciting.
