This hadith tells us that on every Friday, angels are present at the mosque to record the names of those who come for prayer. When the Imam sits down to deliver his sermon, they fold up their scrolls and listen attentively. This hadith encourages us to attend our mosques regularly on Fridays as it is a great opportunity for us to gain rewards from Allah SWT through our attendance in congregational prayers. It also teaches us that we should be punctual in attending our prayers so that we can be recorded by these angels as being among those who attended early. Furthermore, this hadith reminds us of how important it is for an Imam or leader of a congregation to have knowledge about Islam so he can guide others with his sermons and teachings from Quran and Sunnah.
