The hadith narrated by Ibn 'Umar states that the Prophet Muhammad used to offer his night prayers in sets of two. This means that he would pray two rak'ahs, pause for a short while, and then pray another two rak'ahs. He would continue this pattern until he completed all the rak'ahs he intended to pray. During each set of prayer, the Prophet would recite verses from the Quran and make supplications to Allah. After completing each set of prayer, he would prostrate himself before Allah in gratitude for His blessings and mercy.
