Sunan Ibn Majah 1260 (Book 5, Hadith 458) #30612
Prostration During Fear Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ led his Companions in the fear prayer, and they prostrated twice by themselves.

It was narrated from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that the Prophet led his Companions in the fear prayer. He led them all in bowing, then the Messenger of Allah and the row nearest him prostrated, and the others stood up, then when he stood up, they prostrated twice by themselves. Then the front row moved back and took their place, and they moved forward until they formed the front row. Then the Prophet led them all in bowing, then the Messenger of Allah and the row nearest to him prostrated, and when they raised their heads, the others prostrated twice. So all of them bowed with the Prophet and some of them prostrated by themselves, and the enemy was in the direction of the Qiblah.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad leading his companions in a fear prayer. A fear prayer is a special type of salah or prayer that Muslims perform when they are scared or worried about something. In this hadith, the Prophet Muhammad led his companions in bowing and then prostrating twice. After that, the front row moved back and took their place while others moved forward until they formed the front row again. Then, everyone bowed with the Prophet Muhammad and some of them prostrated by themselves while facing towards Qiblah which is a direction Muslims face when performing salah. This hadith teaches us to be brave even during difficult times and to always turn towards Allah for help through prayers no matter what situation we are in.
