Sunan Ibn Majah 1250 (Book 5, Hadith 448) #30602
Prayer Times According to Prophet Muhammad

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that there is no prayer to be done after Fajr until the sun rises, and no prayer to be done after 'Asr until the sun sets.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "Good men among whom was 'Umar bin Khattab, and the best of them in my view is 'Umar, testified before me that the Messenger of Allah said: 'There is no prayer after Fajr until the sun has risen, and there is no prayer after the 'Asr until the sun has set.’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow what Allah has commanded in terms of worshiping Him through prayers by praying at specified times.

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by Ibn 'Abbas teaches us that according to Prophet Muhammad, there are specific times for prayer. He said that there is no prayer after Fajr until the sun has risen, and no prayer after Asr until the sun has set. This means that we should not pray at any other time than these two specified times. It also teaches us about being mindful of our actions and following what Allah has commanded us in terms of worshiping Him through prayers. We should strive to make sure we are praying at these two specific times as it is a way of showing our obedience and respect for Allah's commands.
