The Sun and Moon on the Day of Resurrection

SUMMARY: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun and moon will be deprived of their light.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "The sun and the moon will be folded up (deprived of their light) on the Day of Resurrection".
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ الدَّانَاجُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ قَالَ ‏ "‏ الشَّمْسُ وَالْقَمَرُ مُكَوَّرَانِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about what will happen on the Day of Resurrection. According to this hadith, narrated by Abu Huraira, it is said that on that day, both the sun and moon will be deprived of their light. This means that they will no longer provide any illumination or brightness to our world as we know it today. It is a reminder for us to always remember Allah's power and greatness as He alone has control over all things in this world and beyond. We should also strive to live our lives in accordance with His teachings so that we can be rewarded with a place in Paradise when we meet Him on that day.
