Praying Witr Without Speaking

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad used to pray Witr with either seven or five Rakah without speaking in between them.

It was narrated that Umm Salamah said: "The Messenger of Allah used to pray Witr with seven or five Rak’ah, and he would not say Salam or speak in between them".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ زُهَيْرٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يُوتِرُ بِسَبْعٍ أَوْ بِخَمْسٍ لاَ يَفْصِلُ بَيْنَهُنَّ بِتَسْلِيمٍ وَلاَ كَلاَمٍ
