Sahih al-Bukhari 3193 (Book 59, Hadith 4) #3051
The Superiority of Allah

SUMMARY: Allah is superior and should not be slighted or disbelieved in.

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah's Messenger said, "Allah the Most Superior said, "The son of Adam slights Me, and he should not slight Me, and he disbelieves in Me, and he ought not to do so. As for his slighting Me, it is that he says that I have a son; and his disbelief in Me is his statement that I shall not recreate him as I have created (him) before".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect for God, Believe in His power and authority .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about the superiority of Allah and how He should not be slighted or disbelieved in. It was narrated by Abu Huraira, who reported that the Prophet Muhammad said that Allah said, “The son of Adam slights Me, and he should not slight Me, and he disbelieves in Me, and he ought not to do so”. This means that humans should never underestimate or disrespect God's power or authority. Furthermore, they must never deny His existence as this is a form of disbelief which is unacceptable to Him. The hadith also teaches us to have faith in God's ability to recreate us as He has done before; we must trust His power even if we cannot understand it fully.
