Sunan Ibn Majah 1154 (Book 5, Hadith 352) #30506
Praying Two Rakah After Subh Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet saw a man praying two Rakah after the Subh prayer and asked him why he was doing so, to which the man replied that he had not prayed them before.

It was narrated that Qais bin 'Amr said: "The Prophet saw a man praying two Rak’ah after the Subh prayer and said, 'Is the Subh prayer to be offered twice?’ The man said to him: 'I did not pray the two Rak’ah before it, so I prayed them (now).’ The Messenger of Allah remained silent".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect authority figures, Take responsibility for your mistakes

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a man who was seen by the Prophet praying two rakah after the subh prayer. When asked why he was doing this, the man explained that he had not prayed them before. The Prophet remained silent in response, indicating his approval of what the man did. This teaches us that it is permissible to pray two rakah after subh prayer if one has missed it earlier. It also shows us that we should be mindful of our actions and take responsibility for our mistakes instead of making excuses or blaming others for them. Furthermore, it teaches us to respect authority figures such as prophets and remain silent when they ask questions or make statements as a sign of respect and obedience.
