The Importance of Attending Friday Prayers

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that those who deliberately miss Friday prayers should give a Dinar in charity or half a Dinar if they cannot afford it.

It was narrated from Samurah bin Jundab that the Prophet said: "Whoever abandons Friday deliberately, let him give a Dinar in charity, and if he cannot afford that, then (let him give) half a Dinar".
