The Importance of Prayer

SUMMARY: Prayer is essential to maintain faith and avoid disbelief.

It was narrated that Jabir bin 'Abdullah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Between a person and Kufr (disbelief) is abandoning the prayer.’"
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ بَيْنَ الْعَبْدِ وَبَيْنَ الْكُفْرِ تَرْكُ الصَّلاَةِ
