QUICK LESSONS:
Adjust religious practices according to circumstances
EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was on a journey to Tabuk when he combined two prayers together. This means that instead of praying four times a day as is usually done, he prayed two times a day while travelling. This was done to make it easier for his companions who were also travelling with him. It is important to remember that this only applies while one is travelling; when at home or in one's place of residence, it is necessary to pray all five daily prayers separately. This hadith teaches us that we should be mindful of our circumstances and adjust our religious practices accordingly in order to make them easier for ourselves and those around us.
