EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith shows us the importance of prayer in Islam and how it should be done. It is narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was seen performing prayer both barefoot and while wearing sandals. This indicates that there is no specific way to perform salat as long as one is in a state of purity and has wudu. It also teaches us to have humility when we pray by taking off our shoes or sandals before we start praying. Furthermore, this hadith also teaches us to respect the sanctity of worship by being mindful of our clothing and footwear when we are in a place of worship such as a mosque or masjid.
