QUICK LESSONS:
Express your faith/joy respectfully according gender-specific ways allowed by Islam .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks of a concession granted by the Prophet Muhammad for women to clap and men to say the tasbih. The tasbih is an Islamic prayer that involves repeating phrases such as “Subhanallah” which means “Glory be to Allah”. This prayer is often done during religious ceremonies or gatherings, such as during Friday prayers at mosques. The concession granted by the Prophet Muhammad allows women to express their joy through clapping instead of saying the tasbih like men do. This shows that Islam values both genders equally, allowing them both different ways of expressing their faith and devotion towards Allah.
