Performing Two Rakah Before Sitting in the Mosque

SUMMARY: When entering a mosque, it is recommended to perform two Rakah before sitting down.

It was narrated from Abu Qatadah that the Prophet said: "When one of you enters the mosque, let him perform two Rak’ah before he sits down".
حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيُصَلِّ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَجْلِسَ
