Sunan Ibn Majah 1000 (Book 5, Hadith 198) #30352
The Best Rows for Congregational Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught that the best rows for women in congregational prayer are the back rows, and the best rows for men are the front rows.

It was narrated that Abu Hurairah said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'The best rows for women are the back rows, and the worst are the front rows, and the best rows for men are the front rows, and the worst are the back rows.’"

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow instructions of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) while praying in congregation; Stand according to gender; Respect others while praying; Keep distractions away from those who pray; Have a clear view of what's happening during prayer; Focus on worship without any disturbances or distractions from those around you.

EXPLANATIONS:
In this hadith, Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us about how to arrange ourselves when we pray in congregation. He said that it is better for women to stand in the back rows and men should stand in front. This is because it is easier for women to follow along with what is happening during prayer if they are standing behind men who can lead them. It also helps keep distractions away from those praying since people will not be able to see each other as easily if they are standing further apart. Additionally, this arrangement allows everyone to have a clear view of what is happening during prayer so that they can focus on their worship without any distractions or disturbances from those around them.
