Sunan Ibn Majah 982 (Book 5, Hadith 180) #30334
Difficulty of Finding an Imam

SUMMARY: A time will come when it will be difficult to find an Imam to lead the people in prayer.

It was narrated that Salamah bint Hurr, the sister of Kharashah, said: "I heard the Prophet say: 'A time will come when the people will stand for a long time and will not be able to find any Imam to lead them in prayer".

QUICK LESSONS:
Persevere in worshiping Allah SWT even if there is no one around you guiding you through your prayers.

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith speaks about a time that is yet to come where it will be difficult for people to find an Imam who can lead them in prayer. An Imam is someone who leads the congregation in prayer and guides them through the steps of worship. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned us about this time so that we can prepare ourselves for it and not give up on our prayers even if there is no one around us to lead us. We should strive hard and make sure that we are able to perform our prayers with or without an Imam leading us. This hadith also teaches us about perseverance and patience as we wait for better times when finding an imam would not be a problem anymore.
