This hadith speaks of the importance of leadership and taking initiative. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was encouraging his companions to take a leading role in their activities, rather than lagging behind or waiting for someone else to take charge. He warned that those who do not take initiative will be put back by Allah.
