Cover Your Mouth When Yawning

SUMMARY: When yawning, one should cover their mouth and not make a sound as Satan will laugh at them.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah said: "When anyone of you yawns, let him put his hand over his mouth and not make a sound, because Satan laughs at him".

QUICK LESSONS:
Cover your mouth when you yawn so no sound comes out .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of covering your mouth when you yawn. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that when we yawn, we should put our hand over our mouth so that no sound comes out. He also warned us that if we do not cover our mouths while yawning, then Shaytan or Satan will laugh at us. This teaches us to be mindful of how we act in public and to always be aware of what is pleasing to Allah SWT and what is not. It also reminds us to be conscious of Shaytan's presence in our lives and how he can influence our actions if we are not careful. We must strive to protect ourselves from his influence by following the teachings of the Prophet ﷺ and being mindful of how we act in public or private settings.
