Praying at Night with Aishah

SUMMARY: The Prophet (PBUH) used to pray at night and Aishah would lay horizontally between him and the prayer direction.

It was narrated from 'Aishah: "The Prophet used to pray at night, and I was laying between him and the prayer direction, as a (body for a) funeral horizontally.’"
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ـ ـ كَانَ يُصَلِّي مِنَ اللَّيْلِ، وَأَنَا مُعْتَرِضَةٌ بَيْنَهُ وَبَيْنَ الْقِبْلَةِ، كَاعْتِرَاضِ الْجِنَازَةِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's practice of praying at night. It was narrated by 'Aishah that when he prayed, she would lay down horizontally between him and the prayer direction as if she were a funeral body. This shows us how devoted he was to his prayers even during late hours of the night. He also showed us how important it is to be respectful in our prayers by having someone else present in a respectful manner while we are praying. We can learn from this hadith that we should strive to be devoted in our prayers and respect those around us while doing so.
