Disrupting Prayers with Dogs and Women

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ warned that a prayer can be disrupted by the presence of a black dog and a woman who has reached the age of menstruation.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas that the Prophet said: "The prayer is severed by a black dog and a woman who has reached the age of menstruation".

QUICK LESSONS:
Make sure to pray in an environment free from distractions such as dogs or women who have reached puberty.
EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about how certain things can disrupt our prayers. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ warned us that if there is a black dog or a woman who has reached the age of menstruation in the same room as us while we are praying, then our prayer will be severed. This means that it will not be accepted by Allah SWT and we will have to repeat it again. We should always make sure to pray in an environment where these two things are not present so that our prayers are accepted by Allah SWT.
