Thawban narrated that when he finished his prayer, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would ask for forgiveness three times, then he would say: "Allahumma Antas-Salam wa minkas-salam tabarakta ya Dhal-jalali wal- ikram" (O Allah, You are As-Salam and from You is all peace, Blessed are You O Possessor of majesty and honour)".
The Prophet Muhammad's example of asking for forgiveness after prayer is something that all Muslims should strive to emulate in their own lives. It serves as a reminder that we must always be humble before Allah, seeking His mercy and guidance at all times. Additionally, it reminds us to show gratitude towards Him by praising His greatness and honouring Him with our words and deeds.
