Greeting People with Peace and Blessings

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to greet people with peace and blessings on both sides of him.

It was narrated that 'Ammar bin Yasir said: "The Messenger of Allah used to say the Salam to his right and to his left, until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen (saying): 'As-salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullah, as-salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullah.’"
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ صِلَةَ بْنِ زُفَرَ، عَنْ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يُسَلِّمُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَعَنْ يَسَارِهِ حَتَّى يُرَى بَيَاضُ خَدِّهِ ‏ "‏ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ ‏.‏ السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith tells us about the importance of greeting people with peace and blessings. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to greet people on both sides of him until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen. He would say “As-salamu 'alaikum wa rahmatullah” which means “Peace and blessings be upon you” in Arabic. This hadith teaches us that we should always greet others with kindness and respect no matter who they are or where they come from. It also shows us how important it is to spread love and positivity in our communities by being kind to one another. We can learn from this hadith that even a simple gesture like saying hello can make someone's day better!
