Praying with Hands on Knees

SUMMARY: Musab bin Sad narrated that his father told him to put his hands on the knees while praying, as it was commanded by Allah.

It was narrated that Mus’ab bin Sa’d said: "I bowed (in prayer) beside my father, and I put my hands between my knees. He struck my hand and said: 'We used to do that, then we were commanded to put them on the knees.’"
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ، عَنِ الزُّبَيْرِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ رَكَعْتُ إِلَى جَنْبِ أَبِي فَطَبَّقْتُ فَضَرَبَ يَدِي وَقَالَ قَدْ كُنَّا نَفْعَلُ هَذَا، ثُمَّ أُمِرْنَا أَنْ نَرْفَعَ إِلَى الرُّكَبِ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of prayer and how it should be done. It was narrated by Musab bin Sad that he bowed in prayer beside his father and put his hands between his knees. His father then struck his hand and said that they used to do this before they were commanded to place their hands on their knees while praying. This hadith teaches us the importance of following Allah's commands when it comes to prayer, as well as respecting our elders and listening to them. We should always strive to follow Allah's commands in all aspects of our lives, including when we are praying. Additionally, we should also respect our elders and listen carefully when they give us advice or instructions.
