EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's actions during salah, or prayer. It was narrated by Malik bin Huwairith that when the Messenger of Allah said "Allahu Akbar", he would raise his hands until they were close to his ears; when he bowed in Ruku he did likewise, and when he raised his head from Ruku he did likewise. This teaches us that we should be mindful of our movements during prayer and follow the example of our beloved prophet. We should also remember to say "Allahu Akbar" with reverence and respect as it means "God is Greater". When we bow in rukoo' we should do so with humility and gratitude for all that God has given us. Finally, when we raise our heads from rukoo', we should do so with a sense of hope for a better future through God's grace.
