Reciting Fatihatil-Kitab in Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet ﷺ taught that one must recite the opening chapter of the Quran in their prayer for it to be valid.

It was narrated from 'Ubadah bin Samit that the Prophet said: "There is no prayer for the one who does not recite Fatihatil-Kitab in it".

QUICK LESSONS:
Recite Fatihatul Kitab during your prayers

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad taught his followers that reciting the opening chapter of the Quran, known as Fatihatil-Kitab, is an essential part of prayer. This means that if a person does not recite this chapter during their prayer, then their prayer will not be accepted by Allah. This is because reciting this chapter helps to remind us of our purpose and why we are praying in the first place. It also helps us to focus on our prayers and remember Allah's greatness and mercy. Furthermore, it serves as a reminder for us to stay humble before Allah and ask for His guidance throughout our lives.
