Reciting Quran During Fajr Prayer on Fridays

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) used to recite two verses from the Quran during the Fajr prayer on Fridays.

It was narrated from Mus’ab bin Sa’d that his father said: "For the Fajr prayer on Fridays, the Messenger of Allah used to recite 'Alif-Lam-Mim. The revelation.’ 32:1 and 'Has there not been over man.’" 76:1
حَدَّثَنَا أَزْهَرُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ نَبْهَانَ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنْ مُصْعَبِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يَقْرَأُ فِي صَلاَةِ الْفَجْرِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ ‏{الم * تَنْزِيلُ}‏ وَ ‏{هَلْ أَتَى عَلَى الإِنْسَانِ}‏

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known for his devotion to Allah and his love of reciting the Quran. On Fridays, he would recite two verses from the Quran during his Fajr prayer. These verses were Alif Lam Mim and Has there not been over man. These verses are reminders of Allah's power and mercy, as well as a reminder of our mortality and how we should strive to live our lives in accordance with His will. This hadith serves as an example for us to follow in order to stay connected with Allah through reciting His words every day, especially on Fridays when we can take extra time out of our day to focus on Him.
