The Importance of Attending Congregations

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad warned people to attend the congregation, otherwise he will take action against them.

It was narrated that Usamah bin Zaid said: "The Messenger of Allah said: 'Let men desist from failing to attend the congregation, otherwise I will burn their houses down'."
حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ الْهُذَلِيُّ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنِ الزِّبْرِقَانِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الضَّمْرِيِّ، عَنْ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ زَيْدٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ ‏ "‏ لَيَنْتَهِيَنَّ رِجَالٌ عَنْ تَرْكِ الْجَمَاعَةِ أَوْ لأُحَرِّقَنَّ بُيُوتَهُمْ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the importance of attending congregations. It was narrated by Usamah bin Zaid that the Messenger of Allah said, “Let men desist from failing to attend the congregation, otherwise I will burn their houses down.” This hadith emphasizes how important it is for Muslims to attend congregations and warns them that if they do not do so, there will be consequences.
