This hadith is about the importance of attending congregational prayers. It was narrated by Ibn 'Abbas and Ibn 'Umar that they heard the Prophet say on his pulpit that people should desist from failing to attend the congregations, otherwise Allah will seal their hearts, and they will be among the negligent. This means that if people do not attend congregational prayers regularly, then Allah will close their hearts to His guidance and mercy, making them neglectful of His commands. Therefore it is important for Muslims to make sure they are attending all five daily prayers in congregation as this is a way for them to stay connected with God's guidance and mercy.
