The Commandment for Bilal to Say Adhan and Iqamah

SUMMARY: Bilal was commanded to say the phrases of the Adhan twice and the phrases of the Iqamah once.

It was narrated that Anas said: "Bilal was commanded to say the phrases of the Adhan twice and the phrases of the Iqamah once".
حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْجَهْضَمِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي قِلاَبَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ أُمِرَ بِلاَلٌ أَنْ يَشْفَعَ، الأَذَانَ وَيُوتِرَ الإِقَامَةَ

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about a commandment given by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to his companion, Bilal ibn Rabah al-Habashi. The commandment was that he should recite two phrases from the call to prayer, known as adhan, and one phrase from the establishment of prayer, known as iqamah. This hadith teaches us that we should follow instructions given by our elders or those in authority over us with respect and obedience. It also teaches us that we should be mindful when performing religious duties such as prayer so that it is done correctly according to Islamic teachings.
