Rewards of Calling the Adhan

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) promised Paradise to those who call the Adhan for 12 years and reward them with 60 good deeds for each day of Adhan and 30 good deeds for each day of Iqamah.

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that: The Messenger of Allah said: "Whoever calls the Adhan for twelve years, he will be guaranteed Paradise, and for each day sixty Hasanat (good deeds) will be recorded for him by virtue of his Adhan, and thirty Hasanat by virtue of his Iqamah".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْخَلاَّلُ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ قَالَ ‏ "‏ مَنْ أَذَّنَ ثِنْتَىْ عَشْرَةَ سَنَةً وَجَبَتْ لَهُ الْجَنَّةُ وَكُتِبَ لَهُ بِتَأْذِينِهِ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ سِتُّونَ حَسَنَةً وَلِكُلِّ إِقَامَةٍ ثَلاَثُونَ حَسَنَةً

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him, PBUH), in this hadith, promised Paradise to those who call the Adhan or Azaan for 12 years. He also said that they will be rewarded with 60 Hasanat or good deeds every day they call the Adhan and 30 Hasanat or good deeds every day they do Iqamah. This hadith teaches us that we should strive to do our religious duties diligently as Allah rewards us greatly for it. It also shows us how important it is to spread knowledge about Islam by calling people towards prayer as it is a great deed that can lead one towards Paradise.
