Sunan Ibn Majah 723 (Book 3, Hadith 18) #30075
The Power of Adhan in the Desert

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised to raise one's voice when calling the Adhan in the desert, as it will be heard by all living and non-living things.

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Sa'sa'ah that: His father who was under the care of Abu Sa'eed said: "Abu Sa'eed said to me: 'If you are in the desert, raise your voice when you say the Adhan, for I heard the Messenger of Allah say: 'No jinn, human, tree or rock will hear it, but it will bear witness for you'."

QUICK LESSONS:
Raise your voice while saying Adhan if you're in a desert ; Remember Allah no matter where you are ; Have faith even when alone .

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the power of adhan, or call to prayer, in a desert. It was narrated from Abdullah bin Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Sa’sa’ah that his father was under the care of Abu Sa’eed who said that he heard Prophet Muhammad say that if someone is in a desert and they call out for adhan, no jinn, human being, tree or rock will not hear it but it will bear witness for them. This means that even though there may not be any people around to hear you calling out for prayer in a desert, Allah hears you and your words are still valid. This hadith teaches us about how powerful our words can be even when we are alone and how important it is to always remember Allah no matter where we are.
