Prioritize your prayers over other activities

This hadith speaks about the importance of prayer over sleep. It was narrated that Bilal came to the Prophet and called him for the Fajr prayer, but he was told that he was sleeping. In response, Bilal said “As-salatu khairum minan-nawm” which translates to “The prayer is better than sleep”. These words were approved by the Prophet and became part of what is known as an Adhan or a call for people to come together and pray. This hadith teaches us how important it is to prioritize our prayers over our sleep or any other activities we may have planned for ourselves during those times. We should remember that Allah has given us these times as a blessing so we can connect with Him through our prayers and ask Him for His mercy and guidance in all aspects of life.
