Seek guidance from Allah when unsure or confused; look towards one's own religion instead of blindly following others; understand why certain things are done in certain ways; be mindful of religious associations when making decisions or taking actions .

This hadith tells us about how the call for prayer was revealed. The Prophet consulted with people on how they should be called to prayer but none of their suggestions were accepted due to their association with other religions. That night, two men from among the Ansar had a dream where they were shown how they should be called for prayer. The Prophet then commanded Bilal to give this call and he added a phrase which was approved by the Prophet himself. This hadith teaches us that we should always seek guidance from Allah when we are unsure or confused about something because He will show us what is right if we ask Him sincerely. It also teaches us that even though different religions may have similar practices or rituals, it does not mean that Muslims must follow them too; rather we must look towards our own religion and its teachings instead of following others blindly without understanding why certain things are done in certain ways.
