The Importance of 'Isha' Prayer

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) preferred to delay the 'Isha' prayer and disliked sleeping before it and engaging in conversation after it.

It was narrated that Abu Barzah Al-Aslami said: "The Messenger of Allah used to like to delay the 'Isha', and he disliked sleeping before it, and engaging in conversation after it".
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، وَعَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، قَالُوا حَدَّثَنَا عَوْفٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمِنْهَالِ، سَيَّارِ بْنِ سَلاَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَرْزَةَ الأَسْلَمِيِّ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ الْعِشَاءَ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَالْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا
