Sunan Ibn Majah 680 (Book 2, Hadith 14) #30032
Waiting for Heat to Cool Down Before Praying

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) advised his companions to wait for the heat of the day to cool down before praying, as it is a sign of the intensity of Hell-fire.

It was narrated that Mughirah bin Shu'bah said: We were praying Zuhr with the Messenger of Allah at the time of intense heat (ie, midday when the sun has just passed its zenith) and he said to us, "Wait for it to cool down before you pray, for intense heat is from the flaring up of the Hell-fire".

QUICK LESSONS:
Wait until it has cooled down before praying .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad's hadith advises us that we should wait for the heat of the day to cool down before praying. This is because intense heat is a sign of how hot and intense Hell-fire will be. We should take this advice seriously and not rush into prayer when it is too hot outside, as this could be an indication that we are not taking our prayers seriously enough. Furthermore, by waiting until it has cooled down, we can ensure that our prayers are done with full concentration and devotion.
