Looking at Another's Nakedness is Forbidden

SUMMARY: It is not permissible for a woman to look at the nakedness of another woman, or for a man to look at the nakedness of another man.

It was narrated from 'Abdur-Rahman bin Abu Sa'eed Al-Khudri from his father that: The Messenger of Allah said: "No woman should look at the nakedness of another woman, and no man should look at the nakedness of another man".

QUICK LESSONS:
Respect other people's privacy; Maintain modesty by covering oneself appropriately when in public; Strive to stay within boundaries set by Allah; Live life according to Allah's will & guidance .

EXPLANATIONS:
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that it is forbidden for a person to look upon the private parts of someone else. This includes both men and women, as it does not matter what gender you are; looking upon someone else’s private parts is still wrong. This hadith teaches us that we must respect other people’s privacy and maintain our own modesty by covering ourselves appropriately when in public or around others. We must also be careful about what we say or do around others so as not to make them feel uncomfortable or embarrassed in any way.

This hadith also reminds us that Allah has given us certain boundaries which we must adhere to in order to remain within His good graces and receive His blessings. We must always strive to stay within these boundaries so that we can live our lives according to His will and guidance, rather than going against it which could lead us astray from Him and His teachings.
