EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) kindness and compassion towards a slave girl who was menstruating. He asked her if her periods had begun and upon receiving an affirmative answer he tore off a piece of his turban for her to cover her head with. This shows us that the Prophet Muhammad was very considerate of women's needs during their menstrual cycle and that he wanted them to be comfortable in such situations.
