Compassion for Menstruating Women

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) showed kindness and compassion to women who were menstruating by allowing them to be embraced while wearing a waist-wrapper.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "If one of us was menstruating, the Messenger of Allah would tell her to tie her waist-wrapper around herself, then he would embrace her".

EXPLANATIONS:
The hadith narrated by 'Aishah speaks of the Prophet Muhammad's compassion towards women who were menstruating. He allowed them to tie their waist-wrappers around themselves and then embrace them. This shows that the Prophet was very understanding of the situation that these women were in and wanted to make sure they felt comfortable and accepted despite being in a state of haydh. This hadith teaches us that we should show kindness and compassion towards those who are going through difficult times or situations, regardless of whether it is physical or emotional. We should also strive to make sure everyone feels included in our society regardless of their circumstances or background.
