Menstruation is Not a Barrier

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that menstruation is not something to be ashamed of and should not be a barrier for women to do their duties.

It was narrated that 'Aishah said: "The Messenger of Allah said to me: 'Get me a mat from the mosque'. I said: 'I am menstruating'. He said: 'Your menstruation is not in your hand'."
