A woman once asked the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ about whether she should give up prayer due to her continuous bleeding. The Prophet ﷺ advised her not to give up prayer, but instead estimate the number of days in a month that she usually menstruates for, take a bath before praying, and cover her private parts with a cloth while performing salah. This hadith teaches us that even though women may experience physical difficulties during their menstrual cycle, they are still obligated to perform their religious duties such as salah. It also emphasizes on modesty by covering one's private parts while performing salah. Furthermore, it encourages us to be mindful of our health by taking baths regularly during our menstrual cycle.
