Perform ablution before wearing leather socks . Wipe over them during travel . Be mindful of your actions even when away from home . Show mercy towards others .

The hadith is about a concession granted by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ to travelers who are on a journey. It states that if a traveler performs ablution and puts on leather socks, then he can perform another ablution and wipe over the leather socks for three days and nights. For those who are not traveling but are settled in one place, they can only do this for one day and night. This shows us how merciful our beloved Prophet was towards those who were traveling as it would be difficult to perform ablutions multiple times during their journey due to lack of water or other resources. This hadith also teaches us that we should be mindful of our actions even when we are away from home as Allah is watching us wherever we go.
