EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith explains the purity of water. It was narrated by Abu Umamah Al-Bahili that the Messenger of Allah said, “Water is not made impure by anything except that which changes its smell, taste and color.” This means that water can only be considered impure if it has been changed in some way such as having a different smell or taste than usual or if it has changed in color. Therefore, water remains pure unless something has altered it in some way. This hadith teaches us to be mindful of what we put into our bodies and to make sure we are consuming clean and pure water for our health and wellbeing.
