Ablution and Prayer in Islam

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would perform ablution, kiss and then pray without performing ablution again.

It was narrated from 'Aishah: "The Messenger of Allah would perform ablution, then he would kiss, then he would perform prayer without performing ablution again. And sometimes he did that with me".

QUICK LESSONS:
Follow Sunnah , Perform Wudu Before Praying
EXPLANATIONS:
According to the hadith narrated by 'Aishah, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) would perform wudu or ablution before prayer. This is a ritual that is done before prayer in Islam. After performing wudu, he would kiss and then proceed to pray without having to do wudu again. This shows us that it is permissible for Muslims to perform their prayers even if they have not performed wudu beforehand as long as they are still in a state of purity. It also teaches us the importance of following the sunnah or rituals of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
