It was narrated by Umm Habibah that she heard the Prophet Muhammad say that whoever touches their sexual organ should perform ablution or wudu. This means that they should wash their hands and face with water and recite certain prayers as prescribed in Islamic teachings. The purpose of this is to ensure that a person remains clean and pure before engaging in any religious activities such as prayer or reciting the Quran.
