How to Perform Ablution According to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us how to perform ablution and the importance of wiping our head and ears inside and out.

It was narrated from Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib that: The Messenger of Allah performed ablution and he wiped his head and his ears, inside and out.
حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ، حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِيكَرِبَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ـ ـ تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ بِرَأْسِهِ وَأُذُنَيْهِ ظَاهِرَهُمَا وَبَاطِنَهُمَا

EXPLANATIONS:
This hadith teaches us about the importance of performing ablution according to the teachings of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. It is narrated from Miqdam bin Ma'dikarib that when performing ablution one should wipe their head and ears both inside and out. This is an important part of Islamic ritual purification as it ensures that all parts of our body are clean before we pray or perform any other religious duties. It also serves as a reminder for us to keep ourselves clean at all times in order to be closer to Allah SWT.
