Perform religious rituals with respect & seriousness; Take spiritual cleansing seriously; Pray & worship Allah regularly; Follow instructions from religious leaders/scholars/teachers etc.; Respect your elders & those who are more knowledgeable than you etc..

This hadith is about the Prophet Muhammad's ablution which is a ritual washing performed by Muslims before prayer. It was narrated that Thabit bin Abi Safiyyah Ath-Thumali asked Abu Ja'far if it was narrated to him from Jabir bin 'Abdullah that the Prophet performed ablution washing each part once. Abu Ja'far said yes, and then Thabit asked if he washed each part twice or thrice as well. Again, Abu Ja'far said yes. This hadith shows us that the Prophet Muhammad would perform his ablutions in different ways depending on what he felt was necessary for him to do at any given time. He could wash each part of his body once, twice, or even thrice in order to be spiritually cleansed before prayer. This teaches us that we should take our spiritual cleansing seriously and not take it lightly as it can help us become closer to Allah through prayer and worship.
