Responsibility of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)

SUMMARY: The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was very careful and responsible when it came to his own purification and charity.

It was narrated that Ibn 'Abbas said: "The Messenger of Allah never entrusted his purification to anyone nor his charity that he had given to anyone; he would be the one to take care of these matters himself".
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَدْرٍ، عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا مُطَهَّرُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ الضُّبَعِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ الضُّبَعِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ـ ـ لاَ يَكِلُ طُهُورَهُ إِلَى أَحَدٍ وَلاَ صَدَقَتَهُ الَّتِي يَتَصَدَّقُ بِهَا يَكُونُ هُوَ الَّذِي يَتَوَلاَّهَا بِنَفْسِهِ

This hadith is about the responsibility that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had for his own purification and charity. It also teaches us that we should strive to be responsible in our own lives as well, taking care of our own affairs without relying on others too much. We should also remember that charity is an important part of being a Muslim, and we should strive to give generously whenever possible.
